It's basically just solid blocks of colour, then I applied the 'noise' filter and blurred it a little. The *really* tricky part was finding the right balance of colours and *keeping* te shading to just the linework.
Having read the story in question... no, completely not your fault. *ahahahaha*
And I think I'm in love with/fear the things you kifed from the old-school style, because they manage to make this both more perfect and hot (natch) *and* more terrifying.
Am I really sure this *didn't* show up in one ancient panel or another? No, no I am not. EVIL BAD AUDREY.
I think it's time we accepted that Petra is our Evil Overlord.
There was only so far I was willing to take the copying of that style, because OLD SKOOL DICK IS A SCARY, SCARY MIDGET. And the scarybadwrong perspective was bad enough.
This is what happens when people encourage me! And when I get the idea to smoosh French romantic and Godlen Age comic art styles together into one terrifying whole.
I never *did* get to show you that picture of Marie Antoinette, did I?
This is absolutely lovely! I love the bodice ripper pose! It's so popculture. And if that's not a balance beam behind them, am I correct in identifying it as a horse? XD ! Ten times better if it is!!!
Well, it *looks* rather a great deal like a gymnastics horse. It is not nearly narrow enough nor, well, beam-y enough, to be a balance beam--horses have the nice rounded edges, balance beams have fairly angular edges. *grins*
